Happy New Year!! 😀
I trust everyone had a great holiday, this January harmattan makes waking up difficult doesn’t it? It should have been this cold during the holidays but still grateful for the cold otherwise heat would have started early this year!
I spent most of my holiday in Lagos, at home most of the time. The idea was to have a nice quiet holiday with very little activity: cook, eat, watch movies and sleep, very short list, lol.
Sometime during the break one of my cousins with fine nose calls and invites us to a beach resort. It sounded like fun so my husband and I agreed and were infact excited. On Sunday the 28th I woke up and changed my mind! The idea of going to the beach resort via speed boat terrified me, Lol…can’t blame a Nigerian gal! Only problem was how to call my cousin and cancel knowing that plans were made with us in mind, with encouragement from my husband, I decided to be brave. We had such a great time I’m glad we went.
26th of December was my Father-inlaws birthday so we spent the day with him, my Mother-inlaw, brothers -inlaw and sister-inlaw. Naturally there was alot to eat and drink.
Here’s the rest of the story in pictures…
What we ate on Christmas day…
On the 26th, for our family party…I made
Served with special fried rice
On the 28th of December, I embarked on a courageous journey 😀
Had to drop my camera and dig in lest I carry last…lol!
The next morning…
We were not alone on the beach
Some of the beach houses..
What did you do with your holiday? Would like to know…
Have a great and wonderful year!
Azuka..

This looked like a ton of fun!
I have silently followed your blog but never commented. You made a domo ice cream convert out of me. But every time I go to Shoprite I only find chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavours; would love to try something else.
I know you have a burger recipe on the blog but the one your hubby had looks really juicy, did you do something different? And the ribs was it prepared by you or bought from the beach resort?
Hoping for more cooking adventures this new year. Keep doing what you are doing.
Cheers

Wow Cindy…
you should comment more often, you definitely have alot to say. Glad you enjoy the Domo Ice Cream like I do, try Vcare Opebi if you stay in Lagos they usually have other flavours like cappuccino and bubble. A lady on Facebook found other flavours in Amigo Supermarket in Abuja as well.
We seasoned the ribs ourselves then got one of the attendants to grill it over charcoal for us. As for my hubbys burger…I think I added a hot sauce on the burger meat but will check and perhaps do another burger recipe.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for finally commenting. Glad to have you here! 🙂
