Thanks for logging on to Clara’s Corner.

Join me as we take on a variety of recipes by the horn! Posts will include food tips culled from my personal experience and interaction with others. Tips I learnt from my Mum and her sisters, great cooks by the way, which is why this blog is named after my Mother Clara Ngozi Chukwuma who was a great cook in her time from whom I learnt and inherited my cooking talent, spoons, side plates, chef knives, soufflé dishes ….sorry I’m digressing 🙂 .

Variety is the spice of life they say so don’t be afraid to try out new dishes. Most of us are familiar with the dishes shared  on the blog and perhaps cook it differently, don’t hesitate to share your thoughts with us in the comment section.

Eating out has become a trend and while there’s nothing wrong with that, I infact can’t eat certain things at home…amala and ewedu is one of them. There are times though when you want to eat a 5-star restaurant meal at home, cooked in your very own kitchen. My joy as part of the blogs theme this year will be to bring restaurant recipes into our homes, that way you save money and enjoy a quiet family meal whenever you want to.

Learn new ways of combining same ingredients and how to use new ones, add fun to meal times so cooking doesn’t have to be a chore!

I am a talented artist and a painter by training so I will be working with colours alot!

  2. Hello Clara’s Corner, being a foodie, I absolutely love reading your blog! Particularly the way you creatively tinker with traditional recipes to create mouth watering dishes…Page after page, I see the various ways you use ingredients and I say to myself, ” Wow! why didn’t I think of that?” Well, thank God we have you. However, I would like you to do a bit more on healthy recipes for kids (Age 2-6). I feel kids in that age bracket are still very picky and it could be a bit of a challenge selecting meals that are both healthy and nutritious for them.
    Thank you for helping with my request, I look forward to seeing it in subsequent posts! Cheers!

      thanks so much for appreciating my style of cooking and all the thought that goes into creating new dishes. I plan on sharing healthier dishes and you bet kids menu are in the works as well.
