I bet you thought I forgot the dessert from our 3 course meal of yesterday…well I didn’t! I took so many cool shots of the dessert it had to come in a seperate post!
So today’s all about gifts of perfumes, exotic dinners, teddy bears, traffic, ice cream, traffic, pizza, traffic, traffic and more traffic especially here in Lagos, so why not pick up ingredients from Shoprite on your way home and please leave early!
Make something deliciously different.
Try this simple dessert along with yesterdays dinner ideas.
Happy Vals Day once again, let’s get to it so I can go get my own dinner ideas rolling 😉 .
Ingredients : ( For 2 only )
9 fresh strawberries
1/2 (90g) pack 180g white chocolate
1/2 (60g) pack 120g milk chocolate
Cream topping:
150ml cold milk – Hollandia whole milk
1 pack Domo dairy whipped cream powder
Method:
Wash the strawberries under running water, pat dry with a paper towel and place in the freezer while you melt the chocolate, about 15 minutes.
Don’t remove the strawberry leafy heads just yet, you’ll need them as handles.
Place a plastic tray in the freezer as well.
Make the whipped cream.
In a clean blender, whip the cold milk and whip dairy powder toegether for 3 minutes non-stop. Place in the freezer while you work on the strawberries.
Pour about 1 cup of water into a small pot and place a heat proof glass bowl on it making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
Start with melting the white chocolate, break it up and place in the glass bowl. Once it melts, stir with a small wooden spoon into a smooth paste.
Take out 4 strawberries and roll them in melted chocolate holding the leaves of the strawberries as a handle then return to the freezer immediately.
Scoop remaining white chocolate into a ziploc bag, keep it warm and set aside.
Melt milk chocolate in the same way as the white chocolate and repeat process with remaining strawberries, return to the freezer and let them set for 30 minutes.
Once the chocolate on the strawberries is firm, start piping the remaining melted chocolate of any design choice on the strawberries.
I used white chocolate on milk chocolate and vice versa.
Return once again to the freezer and allow it set for another 20 minutes.
Whipped cream should be ready.
Pipe whipped cream on strawberries as you like and enjoy on my behalf!
With ♡ Azu 🙂 .
