A very eventful week I have had! Friday night means I get to kick back and relax, yay!

I mentioned on Monday that February recipes can serve as easter ideas ๐Ÿ™‚ how cool is that! Enough time to plan and prepare to wow your guests!

Todays recipe is pretty simple, about the only ‘cake’ I can bake successfully, it bakes so fast I don’t have to peep into the oven to check if it’s done….I didn’t say that’s what I do when I bake cakes ๐Ÿ˜ .

Extra moist and chocolaty, ย it melts in your mouth, only reason it lasted 4 days was because my husband and I were fasting at the time and our tummys just wouldn’t make space for the brownies after our first meal….uncorporative bellies ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Let’s carry on!

Ingredients : ( makes 20 bite size brownies )

1 cup plain flour

2 room temperature eggs

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2/3 pack of 120g ย Cadbury milk chocolate

1/4 cup chocolate syrup (I used Magic time)

1/2 cup butter/margarine

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

Method:

Preheat oven. Beat eggs and set aside.

Seive together into a bowl the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.

Melt butter and chocolate by placing a heat proof glass bowl over a pot with boiling water over medium heat.

Mix the butter and chocolate together, add sugar ad cocoa powder and mix. Add the syrup and mix.

Add the beaten eggs to the chocolate butter mixture and incorporate without over mixing.

Lastly, add the flour into the chocolate mix using a wooden spoon without over mixing, once the ingredients are incorporated stop mixing.

Pour into your greased baking pan and bake in preheated oven 18-30 minutes depending on how hot the oven is.

Start checking for doneness after 20 minutes or when you start smelling the irresistible brownies ๐Ÿ˜€ . Once a toothpick dipped into the centre comes out clean, remove from oven, place on a rack and allow it cool.
