It’s a rainy day, lots of traffic, water logged roads, many plans cancelled. That’s what happens on most days it rains in our beloved Lagos. Sounds woeful doesn’t it? I’m here to offer silver linings because I know most of us would have preferred to stay in bed. It’s been raining for a couple of hours now we’ll most likely have a cool weekend.

This delicious drink I’m about to share has less than 200 calories so relax and enjoy!

After today stress, here’s what I need you to do for me, on your way home from work, stop by Shoprite or any other and pick up the following ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 sachet Hot chocolate of choice (you can use Milo but it’s a bit too sweet for me and it probably has more calories)

1 sachet Domo vanilla whipped cream powder

3 tablespoons vanilla instant pudding powder

200mI cold milk (I use Hollandia)

A Latte mug

You will also need:

1 cup hot water

1 straw (optional)*

1 good Movie (preferably comedy)

A thriller novel

A duvet

An air conditioned room of choice

Preparation:

Turn on the AC at least 30 minutes before you make the hot chocolate.

In a blender combine milk, whipped cream and instant pudding powder. Blend non-stop for 4 minutes, pour into a lid container and put in the freezer to at least 15-20 minutes to set properly.

Now like the speed of lightening, race to the air conditioned room, climb under the duvet, drink your hot chocolate while reading or watching a movie and whenever your eyelids get too heavy, feel free to sleep off whatever stress today might have caused. 😀

See you on Monday!

Azu :-).

*Keep leftover cream in the freezer, bring out 15 minutes before you need to use it next time.
